This Year’s Award Goes To…
At FRÉ, we love women. And we are proud to have an amazing community of ambassadors who support our brand and help us spread our values of women’s empowerment, caring for the environment and giving back. This year we are excited to create a new tradition, with our brand new FRÉ Woman Of The Year Award. Each year we will award this honor to one amazing woman who, like FRÉ, is fit, resilient and elegant. So it should come as no surprise that our Woman of the Year Award this year goes to Wonder Woman herself: Gal Gadot. Gal is a force to be reckoned with, and here is why we love her:
She’s A Feminist
In a recent interview Gadot described Wonder Woman as: “the first time for me — as a woman, a girl, a female — that I saw an image of strong women that are beautiful and confident and can take care of themselves,” and she continued on to stress the importance of showing women in these roles. At FRÉ we agree with the great impact this has on changing the social narrative present in today's society. As Gadot put it: “There cannot be women’s empowerment if women don’t have this visual in their subconsciousness, and if men don’t have it either.”
When Brett Ratner was accused of sexual assault, she refused to work on the Wonder Woman franchise unless Ratner was out. The essence of the film was about feminism and women’s empowerment and thanks to Gadot standing up for these values, Warner Brothers will no longer work with Ratner.
At FRÉ we love to sweat, and when we saw Gadot on screen, we knew that she does too. Wonder Woman brought our first female superhero to the world of cinema and it was full of incredible authentic workouts. According to IMDb, “Gadot received swordsmanship, Kung Fu kickboxing, Capoeira, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training in preparation for the role.” Well, after seeing her in Wonder Woman, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Justice League, we can see that her dedication paid off.
As an Israel-based company, FRÉ is passionate about Israel and shares this with Gadot. Gadot always talks openly about her two years of service in the Israel Defense Force (IDF), and says that there is "something very important and unique about the fact that you’re putting your life on hold and you’re giving back to your country." But Israel is not all about the army. It’s a thriving country with fabulous nightlife, an amazing startup scene, and quite probably, the best food in the world. Gadot took a moment to share all of this, along with some of Israel’s favorite snacks, when she appeared on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
For all that she has done and said in her fight for female empowerment, advocacy, and strength, we are proud to support Gal Gadot, not only the new Wonder Woman, but as our Wonder Woman, and Woman of the Year. Congratulations, Gal Gadot, this is an accolade you can hang on the wall next to your Miss Israel 2004 title ;) We at FRÉ love your resilience, support your power, are in awe of your strength, and are your biggest advocates! Keep showing the world all of the amazing things that women can do!
What FRÉ enthusiasts are saying:
Daniella, Fitness Instructor:
I am a fitness instructor and finally found a skincare routine specially made for my sweaty life. 123FRÉ gives all my skin needs. The first time I tried it, I have to say I was blown away by the quality of the 3 products! There simply is no other way to put it. And what surprised me is that one week only after using my new skincare routine, I wasn't the only one to notice that my skin looked better; people complimented me for having this "certain glow."
I run every day and what I love about my new skincare routine is the combination of lightweight and very gentle textures that are perfect for sweating skin with a luxurious, simple and high-performance routine. The scent is also amazing and you can feel every single detail was taken into account to answer the needs of my regularly sweating skin both in terms of experience and result. I just love to sweat with FRÉ.
