The health and spiritual benefits of yoga are well known and indisputable. What you may not know is that yoga also works wonders for the skin. Facial yoga exercises
Apart from the different asanas, there are yoga exercises for the face that you can do. These tighten the facial muscles which helps to prevent signs of aging like lines and wrinkles from the face. There are exercises for sagging jowls, eyeballs and for reducing the signs of aging.
One is to sit up straight, tilt your head back and keep your lips closed and relaxed. Look up at the ceiling and 'chew' with your mouth closed for 10 seconds. Tilt your head forward, close your eyes and relax for 30 seconds. Repeat the exercise 10 times.
Then, tilt your head forward even more until your chin almost touches your chest.Slowly roll your head first clockwise, then counter-clockwise. Repeat three times.
Another is to lie on your bed and let the back of your neck hang over the edge. Put a folded towel under your neck to cushion it against the edge. Carefully lift your chin towards your chest and hold there for 15 seconds. Lower your head and relax for 20 seconds. Repeat five times.
