Night solution for active skin

If you have an active lifestyle you probably spend a lot of time working, exercising, and more. When we plan our daily tasks and activities, we tend to focus on our waking hours. Sometimes, we forget just how important nighttime and sleep are. Sleep is the best way to help your skin, body and soul recover after an intense day.
At night, while you are sleeping, your skin’s cell regeneration is higher, and since your skin cells are in renewal mode, you get maximum impact from your skincare products. In addition, environmental factors like pollution and UV rays are not attacking your skin and disrupting the efficacy of these products. In order to take full advantage of the regeneration process and your beauty rest, you need to have an effective nighttime skincare routine. Follow these steps for a great nighttime skincare routine, so you can wake up with a glowing complexion.
Take off your makeup
It is a huge no-no to sleep in your makeup. Makeup creates a barrier on your skin, trapping sweat and bacteria, which can clog your pores. The last thing you want is for your pores to be clogged for eight hours as you sleep and to wake up to blemishes and rashes. Use a gentle makeup remover, like CLEANSE ME micellar cleansing water, to clean off your cosmetics and let your skin breathe.
Wash your face
Even after you have removed your makeup, there are impurities left on your skin. To remove all the dirt and grime of the day, use a hydrating cleanser, like PURIFY ME, to get your face really clean without striping it of nutrients. The jojoba beads in PURIFY ME gently exfoliate the skin, while the shea butter moisturizes without clogging pores.
Hydrate your skin
Transepidermal water loss (TEWL), the moisture lost via your skin, increases at night, so it is important to hydrate your skin before you go to bed. By applying a serum, like REVIVE ME, you are feeding your skin highly concentrated hydrators as well as nutrients and antioxidants, which enhance your skin’s health, especially at night. The glycerin and hyaluronic acid in REVIVE ME’s formula are humectants that work to increase the water content of your skin.
Pamper your eyes
Your skin works hard all day, especially the skin around your eyes, which is the thinnest skin on your body and one of the areas most prone to stress and wrinkles. Help this area repair itself at night with an eye cream, like BRIGHTEN ME, which contains hyaluronic acid that hydrates skin, and niacinamide, which increases collagen production. Extend BRIGHTEN ME over your orbital bone with soft movements from the inner to the outer part of the eye. Use your ring finger to avoid strong movements and excessive pressure.
Protect your skin barrier
The outermost part of your skin is the stratum corneum, also known as the skin barrier. It is the frontline defense against pollutants and toxins that are trying to enter your body. UV radiation and other environmental factors can break down the skin barrier. Apply a nourishing night cream, like RECOVER ME, to restore your skin barrier as you sleep. RECOVER ME contains tocopherol, a form of vitamin E, which reduces UV damage in skin, and copper tripeptide 1, which activates collagen, glycosaminoglycans and elastin production, thus improving skin’s elasticity and firmness.
Wake up glowing
Remember to give your nighttime skincare routine and good night’s sleep their place in your daily activities. By cleansing, hydrating, and protecting your skin while you sleep, you will wake up to a refreshed and glowing you.
