Skin Transformation Story: Regan Barwick

Jude Jacob Kayton August 02, 2020

@reganbarwick

About me: I was born in England and raised there until I was 9 years old. Currently, I live in Houston. I’ve always struggled with my weight. I was on the heavier side growing up and diets and fitness never seemed to work for me. I’ve been a vegetarian since I was 12, but I mainly ate ice cream, pasta and Doritos! Climbing the stairs to my third floor apartment was like trekking up a mountain for me.

I decided to try going vegan and ended up falling in love with it. It’s a lifestyle and approach focused on causing a minimum amount of negative impact. It is making a conscious effort not to cause harm to people, animals or the environment. By going vegan and exercising four times a week, I lost 65 pounds.

Skin challenges

As a teenager, I had terrible skin habits. I would put on a bunch of makeup and go to bed in it. My Mom didn’t have a skincare routine and never wore makeup, but always had great skin.

I, on the other hand, had texture and breakouts and didn’t know what to do. It was hormonal, but I made it worse with my skincare mistakes.

In my late teens, I did some commercial print modeling. They pile your face with makeup and put you under hot lights. Sometimes, I'd be modeling for twelve hours wearing tons of makeup. At the time, I didn’t realize that my skin was very sensitive and they were putting anything and everything on it. After a while, the texture of my skin changed and it became seriously dry. Every day, I would wake up with new blemishes.

I didn't have much insight into skincare. Today, there is so much access to information. When I was a kid, I would talk to my friends who usedClean & Clear from Target, or I would see something for acne removal on a commercial. I tried this kind of stuff for years, but never had a skincare routine. I also tried products from Lush, and while I like their products for pampering and feeling good, they didn’t really make a difference to my skin.

A healthy skincare routine

When I first became vegan, FRÉ reached out to me and sent me samples, which I loved.

There was an immediate improvement in my skin and it was the first time I had a real skincare routine.

Online, you often find routines with 70 plus products and each of them cost hundreds of dollars. In contrast, 123FRÉ is so easy to follow and easy to maintain. This is what helped transform my skin. I also enjoy using it. The face wash is very refreshing. It's hot in Texas, so I feel there is always dirt on my skin, and I like washing it with  PURIFY ME.  When my skin is dry, I put on  REVIVE ME;  it makes my skin feel great and it’s super convenient.

PURIFY ME  is the cleanest I’ve felt after a face wash. I use it every day, but my all time favorite product is  PROTECT ME.  It's so hot and sunny in Texas, and although this cream has SPF30, it doesn’t interfere with makeup or have a strong sunscreen smell. The smell and feel of other sunscreens really bother me.  PROTECT ME   simply sinks into my skin and doesn’t feel like a layer of film. It’s moisturizing, and it’s for skin that sweats. I feel protected, and it’s very lightweight, ensuring my makeup never goes on blotchy. After getting comfortable with this routine, I now feel ready to experiment and try other FRÉ products.

I always say, if you are struggling with your skin and looking for something different, give FRÉ a try. We are bombarded with marketing online and people are always saying “this is the best.” I only recommend products if I really, truly believe in them. FRÉ actually works; it's simple and it's a great price point. There are fantastic sales and deals with a hundred percent money back guarantee. If you are looking for something, give this a try. At certain points, I have been overwhelmed with the amount of new skincare products available today, but I’m so glad I found FRÉ, if I hadn’t my skin wouldn’t be as clear as it is today.
